To help Planned Parenthood, the Culinary Ladies Collective is raising funds through cookie boxes made by local chefs, bakers and businesses.

This year’s cookie grab box will be filled with 24 cookies and a Saints Madison Juice Co. juice. Last year’s cookie grab, the first held by the Culinary Ladies Collective, raised $25,000 for Planned Parenthood with 21 cookies, a Saints juice and a Sassy Cow milk.

“We stand with Planned Parenthood because we understand the value it brings to our communities,” the Culinary Ladies Collective’s website says. “That it may be the location of last resort for some women but that it is the only healthcare available for many. As members of the culinary fields we know firsthand that healthcare needs to be more widely available to those without insurance.”

The participating businesses are Banzo, Slide, Joon, Looking Glass Bakery, Surya Cafe, Madison Sourdough Co., Morris Ramen, Heritage Tavern, Goodkind, Estrellón, Elemeno, Harvest, Ancora, Ugly Apple Cafe, Cassetta Kitchen, La Kitchenette, Athens Grill, Saints Juice, Bloom Bake Shop, Bastard Dining, True Coffee Roasters, Tart, The Driftless Cafe, The Rooted Spoon, Pasture and Plenty, Deb’s Lunch with Bernie’s Place, LushLife Vegan Bakery, Giant Jones Brewing Co., Origin Bread Co. and Mint Mark. One cookie will also be from Madison Urban Ministries Just Bakery, which works with individuals with barriers to employment.

The Cookie Grab 2020 sale started Jan. 20 and are available here.

Each box is $50 and must be picked up at one of three locations: Giant Jones Brewery, Ancora Coffee or Surya Cafe. Once a location sells out, boxes will not be transferred to another location. Shipping is not available and there will be no refunds for unclaimed boxes.

The boxes sold out last year, and the Culinary Ladies Collective is anticipating that it will be sold out again this year. There are 650 total boxes available.
