Kaia Mueller

The suspect in a credit union robbery was arrested Wednesday, thanks to tips from the community, Whitewater police said.

Police shared an image of a vehicle that investigators believed was connected to a robbery at a credit union in Whitewater Wednesday.

Tips from the community led police to a residence in Elkhorn, where they executed a search warrant, according to a release. The occupants of the residence were not home, but information found during the search warrant led detectives to a residence in Beloit where Kaia Mueller, 37, was arrested around 11:30 p.m.

The Whitewater Police Department said Tuesday afternoon that the man who robbed the Fort Community Credit Union on East Milwaukee Street at 4:43 p.m. may have driven off in a Ford F-150 truck.

Two photos shared Tuesday were taken from surveillance footage showing the left and right profiles of the suspected truck.
