Crash on Highway 51 north of Stoughton causes brief closure, injuries

STOUGHTON, Wis. — A crash on Highway 51 north of Stoughton caused a brief closure Thursday afternoon.

According to an alert from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, all southbound lanes at mile marker 42.4 were blocked.

Officials said the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 51 and County Highway B in the town of Dunn at 4:06 p.m.

Dane County dispatch said the Stoughton Fire Department and McFarland EMS responded to the scene.

Dispatch said injuries were reported but could not confirm how many people were involved in the crash.
