Construction expected to begin in March
MADISON, Wis. — Dane County will contribute more than $3.5 million to a planned reconstruction of McKee Road/County Highway PD, county executive Joe Parisi announced Friday afternoon.
In a statement, Parisi said the county will contribute up to $3,561,000 to the project, which will reconstruct a 1.5-mile stretch of McKee Road to a four lane divided urban arterial street and is expected to cost $13.9 million.
The project will also include bike lanes, storm sewers, curbs and gutters, sidewalks and a pedestrian bridge for the Ice Age Junction Path.
Construction on McKee Road is expected to begin in March and last until October.
