Construction on interstate bridge over Siggelkow Road completed
DOT: Siggelkow Road also reopens after 7-month closure
MADISON, Wis. — Construction on the Interstate 39/90 southbound bridge over Siggelkow Road just south of Madison is complete, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation release.
Some final work south of the Beltline interchange will occur over the next two weeks and will have minor impacts on traffic, officials said.
Work on the $5.7 million project started in late April to reconstruct the southbound bridge structure, according to the release. Nighttime lane closures occurred on Interstate 39/90 northbound and southbound in the work zone.
In late August, all interstate traffic was shifted to the northbound lanes during the bridge reconstruction, officials said. Siggelkow Road, under the interstate, also reopened Friday after being closed to traffic for seven months.
