Concerts on the Square capacity increased to 5K people at Breese Stevens Field
MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra is increasing capacity limits for this year’s Concerts on the Square series hosted at Breese Stevens Field.
Now that Dane County’s public health orders have expired, 5,000 patrons will be able to attend each of the five concerts slated for later this summer. The concert series was previously limited to 1,500 patrons per concert.
“We are filled with gratitude to be able to perform live for an audience, for our hometown, and for people across the community with our live-streamed summer concerts,” Maestro Andrew Sewell said in a press release.
The shows are scheduled for Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. from July 7 to Aug. 4.
This year’s series, in addition to being hosted in a different location, will also be ticketed. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. on the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and Breese Stevens Field websites. All of the concerts will also be live streamed for free.
Masking is strongly encouraged, especially for people not fully vaccinated. Organizers said patrons should wear their masks until they get to their seats.
