Complaint: Mt. Horeb man accused of sending nude photos to girls ages 14-16
MADISON, Wis. — A Mount Horeb man is facing multiple felony charges related to sending naked images to underage girls and requesting that they do the same, according to documents filed this week in Dane County court.
The Mount Horeb Police Department said 26-year-old Jesse B. Walker is facing five felony charges in connection with an extensive investigation involving juvenile victims that began in December 2018.
Online court records show charges were filed against Walker on Tuesday, including three counts of exposing a child to harmful material and two counts of soliciting an intimate representation from a minor.
According to the criminal complaint, girls ages 14 to 16 reported that Walker sent them nude pictures of himself through Snapchat, a social media app for photo and video messaging.
One of the girls told police Walker asked her more than once to meet him in person, which she refused, the complaint said. One of the girls described sexual cartoons that Walker sent her and asked her if she liked them. The girl described the cartoons as “drawings of guys and girls having sex. They looked like teens or young adults.”
One 14-year-old girl told police Walker pressured her to send nude pictures of herself, and she eventually sent him two nude images, the complaint said. She told police Walker was persistent when he wanted something and would ask until he got his way.
According to the complaint, police left a message on Walker’s cellphone on Dec. 11, and he called them back nine days later saying he changed his number because of the issue. He also told police he deleted his social media accounts, including Snapchat, a few days before he called police with his new number.
Walker admitted to police that he asked one of the girls to send nude photos of herself even though she was 14 years old, telling officers he “just wasn’t thinking,” the complaint said. He also told police he attempted to contact a number of minor girls in the Mount Horeb area to be his friend on Snapchat.
A 15-year-old who told police Walker sent her a nude photo of his genitals on Snapchat said Walker, who calls himself “Wolf,” would also send messages like, “Wolf needs cuddles. Come cuddle Wolf.” She said the messages disturbed her.
Police said officers forensically examined Walker’s cellphone and laptop, gathering evidence that led to the charges.
An initial appearance in the case is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on July 18, according to online court records.
The Dane County Jail did not have a booking photo of Walker on file as of Thursday, officials said.
