Columbus police search for man who robbed convenience store

COLUMBUS, Wis. — Law enforcement officials with the Columbus Police Department are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store Monday night.

Police said the man entered the Cenex convenience store on Park Avenue after it had closed and threatened the clerk with a gun. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to a news release, the suspect is a white male approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark hat and blue jeans.

The Columbus Police Department is still investigating the incident.
