Columbia Co. Sheriff: Woman killed in golf cart crash involving alcohol; man arrested
TOWN OF PACIFIC, Wis. — A 51-year-old woman was killed Saturday night in a golf cart crash in Columbia County.
According to a news release, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Saddle Ridge in the Town of Pacific around 7:30 p.m.
Officials said they found an unconscious woman lying in the road. She was taken to UW Hospital where she later died.
Authorities said a man was driving the golf cart on a paved road, when the woman fell and landed on the road and hit the back of her head.
A news release said alcohol was a factor in the crash and the driver was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicating.
