Coldest air of the season arrives tonight -Haddie

Arctic air will be moving into southern Wisconsin today.  Skies will turn partly sunny this afternoon, but temperatures will fall throughout the day.  By this afternoon, temperatures will be in the single digits.  Strong northwesterly winds will keep wind chills below zero all day.

Temperatures will fall below zero tonight for the first time this winter.  Near record lows will be possible overnight.  Northwesterly winds will diminish overnight, but wind chills will still range from -15 to -25 by daybreak on Friday.

This cold snap won’t last too long as warmer air is forecast to return Friday night.  Southerly winds will cause temperatures to rise through the teens overnight.  High temperatures this weekend will be back in the 30s.
