Coach Gary Andersen reacts to Badgers’ loss
Wisconsin lost 32-30 to Arizona State University Saturday
MADISON, Wis. — The ending of the football game Wisconsin lost 32-30 to Arizona State University Saturday night has been a topic of conversation for Badger fans.
During the last play of the game Joel Stave snapped the ball with 18 seconds left, then spiked the ball with 15 seconds left. Head Coach Gary Andersen said during a post-game interview that the team never got a chance to snap the ball again.
“I don’t know how that happens,” said Andersen.
Andersen said Stave centered the ball so officials could set the ball for the kicking team to come out.
“He centered the ball so the officials could get on the football and hopefully give us a set so we have an opportunity to get out there,” said Andersen. “It’s a shame it went down the way it went down.”
After the game Andersen told the team, “Don’t let Arizona State beat you twice.”Wisconsin vs. Arizona State postgame recap Gary Andersen ASU postgame news conference
