Clifford S. Hunt
LODI – Clifford S. Hunt was born to parents, George C. and Nyna (Sherman) Hunt on October 2, 1920 in Rockford, Illinois. In 1942 he went into the Army Air Corps. He was an aircraft mechanic receiving an honorable discharge in 1946. He was a member of the Maynard Schulgren Legion Post, Lodi, Wisconsin for over 60 years. In 1950 moving to Madison, Wisconsin he was employed by Gisholt Machine Co. and later for the University of Wisconsin. He passed away on October 29, 2012 at Agrace Hospice Care.
He is survived by a special friend, Dorothea Haug, his caretaker for 16 ½ years. He is also survived by a sister, Lois Binning of Utah and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at the HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 South Main Street, Lodi on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will held one hour before the service starting at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Military Rites. Memorials may be made to the Maynard Schulgren American Legion Post 216.
I want to thank everyone that remembered Clifford throughout his long illness with care and visits. Also thanks to all those that have helped me in so many other ways. May God Bless You.
