Clarke “Pete” Petersen
Clarke J. “Pete” Petersen, age 77 of Briggsville, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Carl E. Grabman American Legion Post #329 in Briggsville, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Military Honors will be provide by the post at 12:00 Noon.
Pete was born on December 11, 1936, in New Haven Township, Adams County, Wisconsin, the son of Otto and Charlotte (Clarke) Petersen. He graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School, joined the U.S. Army and served in Germany. He married Bonita “Bonnie” Anderson on August 15, 1969 in Galena, IL. He worked for Bullers Farms, Garret Construction, Bollig Lathing and 22 years for Fix Brothers Plastering. He then worked for the Adams County Highway Department for 18 years and retired 12 years ago. Pete was always willing to help others, fixing anything for his family and friends all his life and snow plowing for over 42 years. He was also well known for his whistling where ever he went and he’s whistling for God now.
Clarke is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter-in-law, Jessica Petersen; grandchildren, Kevin, Jordon, Sabrina, Zachary, Kyrsten and his great-grandchildren, Rhyland, Brook, Jackson, and Cortensia. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother in law, Virginia Anderson; daughter, Wendi Fischer; son, Christian; brother, Otto and grandson, Alexander.
