Clarice E. Miller

Clarice E. Miller age 89, passed away at the Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam on Monday, January 30, 2017 after a long illness.

She was born April 21, 1927 in Columbus the daughter of Ernest and Emma (Schenck) Gaumitz. She graduated from Fall River High School in 1945 and the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Madison in 1948. She was a Registered Nurse at St Mary’s Hospital in Columbus and for 25 years was the Industrial Nurse at the Fall River Foundry. She was united in marriage to Bernard Miller on August 6, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2005.

Survivors include two daughters, Ann (Charles) Berg of Fall River and Sue (Tom) Bengsch of Sun Prairie; three sons, John of Fall River, Joel (Luanne) of Columbus and Jeffrey (Diane) of Fall River; eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ashley Fischer) and Douglas (Morgan Agnew) Berg, Lindsey (Justin Hoffman), Melissa, Megan, Micaela (Seth Knapp), Dustin and Trevor Miller, Amanda (Jared) Meyer, Korey (Nicci Hess) and Kathryn Bengsch; four great-grandchildren, Anna Jean and Abby Jo Miller and Joe and Grace Meyer; one sister-in-law, Doris Miller of Fall River and a special niece Romona (Robert) Walker of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers and two sisters, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Besides having a great love for her family and the family farm, later years were spent traveling with her husband which she truly enjoyed. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Doylestown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Doylestown. Rev. Steve Kortendick will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Jensen Funeral & Cremation in Columbus and from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church. Memorials can be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Hillside Manor Activities Department or a charity of your choice.
