City of Madison does not declare snow emergency Friday night

Increased snowfall blows town, county plowing budgets

MADISON, Wis. — The City of Madison is not declaring a snow emergency Friday night, but will be beginning a citywide plowing operation at around 11 p.m.

According to a news release, the plows will take 12 to 16 hours to complete and go into the early afternoon Saturday.

The City is asking residents to choose off-street parking options to assist with plowing and follow parking rules and restrictions.

Alternate side parking will only be in effect in areas outside of the Snow Emergency Zone.
