Christian Collins Fritzner
Christian Collins Fritzner, age 50, died on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his home, after a 21 year battle with cancer.
He was born on May 9, 1966, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Carl Bjorn and Mary Lee (Collins) Fritzner. Christian graduated from Malcolm Shabazz High School in Madison in 1984.
Christian loved his music, mainly Rock and was a big history and movie buff. He loved watching sports, especially pro-football, his Minnesota Vikings. He also loved to write and was a published poet. He was genuinely generous with everyone, had a big heart and had a very kind, warm, wonderful sense of humor. Christian enjoyed short long car rides, walks and buggy rides in the parks as well as dining out in bars with friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brothers, Mark, Matthew and Eric Fritzner, as well as many other cousins, aunts, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Madelyn Harris Collins; and his beloved uncle, Patrick J. Collins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., with Msgr. Charles Schluter officiating.
