Child injured in crash involving power pole, police say

Boy hurt after car-bike crash in Milton

MONROE, Wis. — A child was injured Sunday afternoon after a vehicle hit a power pole during a crash.

Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of 11th Avenue around 3 p.m. Sunday, according to a release by the Monroe Police Department.

Police said Cory A. Fritzenmeier, 31, of Monroe, was driving when his vehicle left the road and struck a power pole.

A 10-year-old passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

Fritzenmeier was cited for inattentive driving and released pending a court appearance, police said.
