Charlotte Mae Zillmer
JANESVILLE – Charlotte Mae Zillmer, age 80, of Janesville, died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Fontana, WI on May 31, 1932, the daughter of Charles E. and Ethlyn (Jones) Dade. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1950, and married James F. Zillmer on June 13, 1953, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton. Charlotte had been employed by Rock County Human Services and then later for the Janesville School District, as a Hall Supervisor, retiring from Craig High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Janesville, and the Women of the Moose. She was a volunteer for Mercy Hospital and loved dancing with Jim and playing cards with family and friends. She enjoyed every moment with her grandkids. Char never met anyone she didn’t consider a friend.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, James Zillmer; 4 children: Kathleen (Dennis) A. Jergenson of Phoenix, AZ, David (Shelby) Zillmer of Janesville, Mark (Gloria) Zillmer of Janesville and Kim (Steve) Simmons of Janesville; 8 grandchildren: Beth (Rich) Ott of Goodyear, AZ, Andrea (Andy) Esser of Clinton, Aaron (Robin) Zillmer of Greenville, WI, Tyler Zillmer of Madison, John Zillmer of Janesville, Ethan Zillmer of Janesville, Peter Zillmer of Janesville and Hayley Simmons of Janesville; 4 great grandchildren: Connor Ott, Kayleigh Ott, Shane Ott and Cambria Jean Zillmer; and 3 siblings: Darwin (Jerrie) Dade of Tomah, Mardelle Locast of Janesville and Shirley Arndt of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Edmundson; and brother, William Dade.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville with Rev. Stephen J. Umhoefer officiating. A visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
