Charlie Elloit Sheskey
Charlie Sheskey, Wakaja gu ga, Coming Thunder, age 32 of rural Mauston, Wisconsin walked on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Commitment services will be held Monday, February 6, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Native American Church in Wisconsin Dells with Johnny White Cloud officiating. Burial will be at the Boss Thunder Decorah Cemetery of rural Mauston. A Celebration of Life Funeral Meeting will be held at the Native American Church on Sunday beginning at 3 p.m.
Charlie was born September 28, 1984 in Madison, Wisconsin the son of Dennis Sheskey and Susie Decorah. Charlie received his high school diploma from American School online. Following graduation he continued his education in culinary arts at the WWTC-Mauston Campus. Charlie was a super chef in any kitchen. With his cooking skills, he and his mother held fund raisers for the NAC Mauston Chapter selling Indian tacos and corn soup. He was always available to do anything for the local church chapter. He was a kind and compassionate person, always willing to help.
Charlie’s favorite hobby was fireworks. Every holiday he always had a fireworks show at Wak Sikma. He had been employed at Victory Fireworks for the last 10 years. He was always up for a challenge in dominoes or scrabble. Charlie had a great sense of humor which he shared with all his friends and relatives.
Charlie is survived by his father, Dennis J. Sheskey; uncle, Parr Decorah; aunts, Janet Decorah Funmaker and Loretta Decorah Patterson; brothers, Sterling Funmaker, Danny Perez, and Peyton Fritzpatrick; and sisters, Sandra Funmaker and Sherry Funmaker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Decorah and paternal grandfather, John Sheskey.
