Charles R. Fritzke
Charles R. Fritzke, age 88, of Tomahawk, formerly of Janesville, died on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk. He was born in Edgerton on July 17, 1923, the son of Charlie C.J. and Clara (Dallman) Fritzke and was a 1941 graduate of Edgerton High School. He married Genevieve A. Marsch on March 10, 1945, in Janesville and she preceded him in death on April 24, 1995. Charles worked for General Motors for 31.5 years until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, UAW Local 95, and the Loyal Order of the Moose where he had served in all chairs. He liked playing cards and doing Leathercraft (has Masters Degree).
Charles is survived by his 3 children: Ronald Fritzke and Sonja (Brad) Wiltse both of Fort Wayne, IN and Kenneth (Terry) Fritzke of Janesville; 6 granchildren; and 5 great-granchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a half-sister, Helen Lietz; and a daughter-in-law.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel, Janesville, with Rev. Naomi Garber presiding. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the chapel. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville is assisting the family.
