Charles A. Copeland
JANESVILLE—Charles A. Copeland, age 63, of Janesville, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at his home. He was born in Janesville on Dec. 17, 1949, the son of George and Helen (Long) Copeland and had attended Janesville Schools. Charles was a mechanic for most of his life before his illness forced him to retire. He married Patricia Truman in Janesville; she preceded him in death in Dec. 2006. He lived in the Neillsville area for most of his life before moving back to Janesville 5 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars.
He is survived by a daughter, Consuelo Copeland King of Neillsville; 4 sons: Patrick (Patricia Teal) Copeland Sr. of Janesville, Charles Copeland Jr. of Neillsville, Brad (Brittany Weber) Copeland of Beloit, and Derek Copeland of Neillsville; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gail (Fay) Copeland of Janesville and Doug (Nancy) Copeland of Delavan; and a sister, Tanna (Gene) Begolke. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Trish; a brother, Jim Copeland; and 2 sisters, Echo Zebee, and Patricia Day.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Patrick’s home at 1702 Purvis Ave, Janesville from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville is assisting the family.
