Chad Lee Announces Bid For Congress

A Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s open Congressional seat in the 2nd District officially announced his candidacy Wednesday.

Chad Lee announced his congressional run in Beloit, where he visited with residents and downtown businesses.

“So as we gather here today as Americans, let’s take a stand together,” Lee said. “We’ve had enough. Let our voices be heard from here in Wisconsin to Washington, D.C. Now is the time to get our country, our state back on track with common sense ideas.”

U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin defeated Lee in his first run for Congress in 2010.

With Baldwin now running for U.S. Senate, the race includes Lee and three other Democrats: state Rep. Mark Pocan, state Rep. Kelda Helen Roys and Dane County Treasurer Dave Worzala.
