Cedarburg stops Oregon, 1-0

Cedarburg’s Ben Hengst scored on a rebound in the 71st minute to defeat Oregon, 1-0 in the Division 2 semfinals at the WIAA State Boys Soccer tournament at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee Friday afternoon.

Sam Korntezke sent a free kick toward the Oregon goal and goalkeeper Dan Dombrowski played to the front of the goal where Hengst sent the rebound into the net for the only goal of the game at the 70:48 mark.

Cedarburg (14-5-4) will play Brookfield East (19-2-4) in the Division Two State Championship game Saturday at 3 pm.

Oregon ends its season with a 17-2-2 record.
