UW fraternity suspended for two years after racial slurs incident

A University of Wisconsin-Madison fraternity has been suspended for two years and will temporarily lose all membership privileges in the Interfraternity Council amid allegations that its members yelled racial slurs and a bottle was thrown at two students earlier this year.

More than 90 percent of Wisconsin high school students graduated last school year, with slight increases for most minority groups though they still lagged behind rates for white students.
