Carolyn M. Sleaver
Carolyn M. Sleaver, 84, of Fort Atkinson died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her home.
Carolyn was born on April 8, 1934 in Fort Atkinson, daughter of the late Ernest and Maddie Missfeldt. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1952 and married her high school sweetheart, William Sleaver on April 17, 1955.
Early on, Carolyn worked at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital before working at Golden Living Center in Fort Atkinson for 37 years.
She enjoyed snowmobiling, polka dancing, card club and spending a great deal of time working with her deaf children.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Kim (Jon) Kostreva; grandchildren, Melynda Stafford and Glenn Jones; sisters-in-law, Beverly Pieritz and Barbara (Warren) Bellcour; brother-in-law, Robert Sleaver and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Sleaver; sister, Georgia Stelse, sister-in-law, Lois Sleaver and brother-in-law, Dick Pieritz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. on Monday at the church until time of service. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to Rainbow Hospice.
Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
