Carolyn Ann White Eagle
Carolyn White Eagle, Wanai’piiga, Good Mind, age 73 of Baraboo, Wisconsin walked on Friday, January 27, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Native American Church, N881 Highway 12, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin with Stuart Lonetree officiating. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Native American Church on Sunday beginning at 3 p.m.
Carolyn was born January 7, 1944 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Theodore and Nellie (Decorah) White Eagle. She worked as a seamstress for three different sewing companies for many years. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout, majoring in art and later attended CVTC majoring in accounting. Carolyn was still working for Hocak Wazija Language Division as Eminent Speaker for 11 years. She was an excellent bead worker, basket maker (fruit baskets), she enjoyed reading, playing bingo and was a wonderful cook.
Carolyn is survived by brothers, Wilson (Gloria) of Baraboo and Luther (Camilla) Lonetree of Bentonville, Arkansas; a sister, Georgia Lonetree of Wisconsin Dells; a niece, Melissa White Eagle and nephew, Edwin White Eagle both of Baraboo and numerous extended family members (sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters and great grandchildren.) She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Jane, Delores, Cecelia Lonetree and Corina Lonetree; brothers, infant Hena, Edward Lonetree, Jr., Willard Lonetree, Alexander Lonetree and Norval Lonetree.
