Man pronounced dead at scene
TOWN OF TROY, Wis. — A Troy man was killed in a single-car wreck in Walworth County early Tuesday, officials said.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a crash at 5:35 a.m. Deputies found a 1998 Honda Civic had struck a tree in a private yard at W3130 Highway ES, about a quarter of a mile east of Bretsch Road in the town of Troy.
According to the report, 38-year-old Joshua R. Fanelli has driving east on Highway ES when the car left the road as he was negotiated a curve. The car crossed the center line, entered the westbound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Fanelli suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the crash and an autopsy will be performed later in the week to determine the cause of death.
