Car strikes bicyclist, drives off
Police looking for driver
MADISON, Wis. — Police are looking for the driver of a car that struck a bicyclist on Madison’s west side Sept. 20.
Police said a car pulled into a bike lane on Hammersley Road while trying to pass another car when it crashed into a bicyclist.
The 55-year-old Madison man who was struck rolled up the hood of the car and suffered abrasions but was not seriously hurt.
The incident took place at about 5:23 p.m., and the car left the scene without stopping.
The car was a boxy-shaped ’90s to early 2000s model maroon sedan with no rear plate. The driver was between 15 to 19 years old.
