A woman pretending to be a customer robbed a Green Cab driver at gunpoint Monday night, Madison police said.

A woman called Green Cab to pick her up in front of an address in the 100 block of Rosemary Avenue around 7:35 p.m., according to a release. When the cab driver arrived, the woman asked for help with a bag.

When the driver got out of the car, the woman pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the driver’s wallet, police said. The woman also took some money that was in the driver’s side front door.

The woman then told the driver to get back into the car and drive away, according to the release. A K-9 track was conducted, but it ended in the 3100 block of Webb Avenue.
