Business hit by gunfire Thursday night, police say

MADISON, Wis. — A business on Madison’s east side was hit by gunfire Thursday night, according to an incident report from police.

According to the Madison Police Department, police responded to a report of shots fired around 9:15 p.m. near the 4900 block of Commercial Avenue.

Witnesses at the scene told officers the suspect fired a gun multiple times, hitting a business with people inside. Police did not say which business was hit by the bullets.

No one was injured by the gunfire and no other damage was reported.

The incident is still under investigation.
