Former Democratic candidate lost to Gov. Scott Walker
MADISON, Wis. — Former Democratic candidate for governor, Mary Burke, confirmed Monday that she will be running for the school board again.
Burke said she will be seeking a second three-year term in the spring.
Burke ran for governor and lost against Gov. Scott Walker this fall.
After the gubernatorial election, Burke said she still planned to be involved in the Avid Tops program in Madison schools, as well as the Burke Foundation, based in Milwaukee.
