Home in Town of Burke struck by gunfire in midday shooting, sheriff’s office says

TOWN OF BURKE, Wis. — A home near the Dane County Regional Airport was hit by gunfire Friday afternoon, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were called to the 4600 block of Dennis Drive in the town of Burke just before 1 p.m. for reports of gunshots.

Witnesses reportedly saw two vehicles stop in the middle of the street, and one person got out of a vehicle and started shooting. The suspects left the scene before deputies arrived.

No injuries were reported. One suspect vehicle is described as a black Dodge Challenger or Charger. Another suspect vehicle is described as a dark blue sedan. Both have dark window tinting.
