Burglars target homes with sliding glass doors
Police: Burglar breaks glass doors
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say several home burglaries on the city’s west side in the past week are linked by the burglar’s effort to get in through sliding glass doors.
Police responded to an alarm at a home in the 2400 block of Trevor Way early Monday morning, but it appeared the burglar was not able to get in.
In another case, a couple on Heim Avenue found a burglar had been in their home and stolen money while they were sleeping by breaking a patio door.
A home on Arbor Vitae Place was also burglarized after the sliding glass door was shattered, according to police. The burglar looked through drawers and closets, but found nothing of value to steal.
