Burglar steals vintage Chevrolet Camaro in Jefferson County, deputies say

TOWNSHIP OF JEFFERSON, Wis. — Jefferson County deputies are searching for a Chevrolet Camaro that was stolen earlier in the week.

Authorities received a report of a burglary on Highway 18 in the township of Jefferson, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s department.

Officials said the suspect went into a building between Monday and Wednesday and stole a fully restored 1969 red Camaro with the license plate 69-CMR0.

The post said the person also took a Stihl Chainsaw, Cub Cadet lawn tractor battery and other tools, including socket and ratchet sets.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is encouraged to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 920-674-7310. Those with information on the case can also call Detective Adam Kleist at 920-674-7312.
