The Madison Mallards were shut out for third time this season Monday, and their defense didn’t help either in an 8-0 loss to the Green Bay Bulldogs in Green Bay.

Christian Cecelio of Green Bay pitched six innings without giving up a run, and lowered his ERA to 0.90. Mallards batters struck out 10 times against Cecilio and other pitchers in the Bullfrogs bullpen.

Mallards starter Matt LaMothe gave up six runs in 4 1/3 innings, and dropped to 2-2 on the season.

The Mallards play two more games in Green Bay before returning to the Duck Pond in Madison on Thursday.
