Bullets enter home, narrowly miss sleeping boy, police say
MADISON, Wis. — Police are investigating a report of shots fired early Saturday morning in the 2900 block of Traceway Drive after two rounds pierced a residence, narrowly missing a 12-year-old boy.
According to an incident report, a caller reported two cars in the area sped off shortly after the shots were fired. Police found fresh footprints in the snow. The prints showed that the suspects walked into the area and ran from it.
Two rounds entered a residence, and one round missed a sleeping 12-year-old boy by about 2 feet, according to the report.
The investigation is ongoing.
