Bucks to open season in Philly, play Celtics on Christmas

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Dust off your calendar, the Bucks schedule for the 2022-23 season was announced Wednesday.

Milwaukee will look to win its second title in three seasons, as Giannis tries to reclaim his throne as NBA MVP.

The season starts on October 20, when the Bucks travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.

Fans will return to Fiserv Forum on October 22 for the home opener against the Houston Rockets. The Bucks get their first taste of Eastern Conference powerhouse Brooklyn on October 26 at Fiserv.

Milwaukee’s schedule is full of games on or around holidays. The Bucks are in for a spooky matchup when they host the Detroit Pistons on Halloween. The team will renew their rivalry with the Bulls on November 23, the day before Thanksgiving.

On Christmas, the Bucks will finally get their chance at revenge when they take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The Celtics knocked the Bucks out of the playoffs last season.

Milwaukee will ring in 2023 with a home game against the Washington Wizards and will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Fiserv with a matchup against the Indiana Pacers. Basketball fans will be in love with a mid-season headline matchup when the Bucks host the Celtics on Valentine’s Day.

The season wraps up north of the border on April 9 when the Bucks take on the Raptors.
