MILWAUKEE — The Bucks outlasted a pesky Bulls team, 93-86, Sunday night in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series.

Milwaukee, looking to defend its 2021 NBA Finals title, got off to a hot start and was up by 13 points after a quarter. But Chicago fought back over the next two quarters and entered the final 12 minutes only down by three.

The Bucks got a big effort from two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who went off for 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting. He also had five fouls.

During the game, Antetokounmpo was named a finalist for NBA MVP.
