Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo dunks during the first half of Game 5 of their NBA playoff basketball game Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Bucks are heading to the Middle East for the first time ever.

Milwaukee will take on the Atlanta Hawks in two preseason games in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the NBA announced Tuesday.

The games will be held at the Etihad Arena on October 8 and 10, and are part of the first-ever NBA Abu Dhabi Games. This is the second time in three years that the Bucks will have played outside North America. The team played Charlotte in a regular-season game in Paris in 2020.

October’s games are a marquee matchup of last season’s thrilling Eastern Conference Finals, which the Bucks won in six games.
