Brookfield Central defeats Sun Prairie for D1 title
Lancers get school's first championship
MADISON — David Joplin had 23 points and 13 rebounds as Brookfield Central defeated Sun Prairie 69-52 in the Division One championship game at the WIAA State Boys Basketball tournament Saturday night at the Kohl Center.
Ben Nau added 17 points and his brother, Cole Nau had 13 to lead the Lancers to the school’s first boys basketball state championship.
Brock Voigt led Sun Prairie with 17 points. Colin Schaefer and Delaware Hale both had 11 for the Cardinals.
