Broncos waive Montee Ball
Just two years after they drafted him in the second round of the NFL draft, the Denver Broncos waived former Wisconsin star Montee Ball Sunday.
Ball started for the Broncos in parts of his first two seasons in the NFL. Injuries slowed him down in 2014, and he slid all the way to fourth on the running back depth chart during the preseason. He survived Saturday’s cuts, but was waived when the Broncos picked up two more players Sunday.
The former Heisman Trophy finalist is just 24-years-old.
