Bristol disturbance was fight over drug debt
Deputies: Gun escalated confrontation
TOWN OF BRISTOL, Wis. — An incident outside a strip club Tuesday morning was a fight over a drug debt that escalated when one of the men took out a gun, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies identified the men Friday. Christopher B. Bivens, 27, of Madison, was flown to UW Hospital and remains hospitalized after being involved in a crash on County Road V after the incident outside Club Bristol. He’s being guarded by deputies, and will be charged on suspicion of second-offense operating while intoxicated. Additional charges are expected.
Dylan W. Schlough, 24, was arrested Wednesday on a probation warrant. Deputies said they were called to the scene at 1:15 am. when Schlough ran to a nearby farm house for safety. He was found at a residence in Sun Prairie. Deputies have not yet determined what charges he might face.
Dane County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said alcohol and speed were factors in the crash Bivens was injured in.
Highway V was closed for about three hours from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., but Highway 51 was not affected by the crash.
