Milwaukee Scores 15 To Beat Chicago
CHICAGO — The Milwaukee Brewers scored nine runs in the ninth inning to beat the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field Monday night, 15-4.
Aramis Ramirez and Ryan Braun led the Brewers offense. Ramirez was 3 for 4 with 4 runs batted in and two home runs. Braun had four hits in six at bats for 5 RBI and his 35th homer of the season.
Carlos Gomez also had four hits for Milwaukee which won its sixth straight game at Wrigley Field.
Marco Estrada pitched five innings, allowing three runs – none of which were earned – and struck out eight to earn his second win of the season against five losses.
Justin Germano (2-4) took the loss for the Cubs.
Cubs center fielder Joe Mather came into pitch in the ninth and recorded the final out of the inning.
