Lucroy's Bat Helps Out Again
MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers held on for a 5-2 win against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park Tuesday night.
The Cubs didn’t score until the top of the ninth when Alfonso Soriano singled and Starlin Castro drove in a run with a ground out.
John Axford then came in to get the final out to preserve the win..
Marco Estrada, Kameron Loe, Francisco Rodriguez, Manny Parra, Jim Henderson and Axford all pitched in the game for the Brewers..
The Brewers had only three hits, but scored on a Corey Hart infield single, a wild pitch, a two-run double by Jonathan Lucroy and an RBI single by Carlos Gomez.
Estrada won his first game of the season to move his record to 1-5. Axford picked up his 19th save.
Rusin took the loss for his first decision of the year.
