Brewers announce new food items for playoffs, including Corn Brat and ‘Bratzilla’

American Family Field Milwaukee Brewers

MILWAUKEE — When the Milwaukee Brewers start their National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves Friday, fans packing American Family Field will have a chance to choose from a variety of new food options at the park.

The team is unveiling a half-dozen new menu items for the playoffs, including a couple new ways to have a brat.

In addition to the usual brat served at the ballpark, people on the Field, Loge, Terrace and Club levels will be able to find the monster-sized “Bratzilla” — a 6 oz. Johnsonville Ultimate bratwurst with deep-fried sauerkraut and topped with secret stadium sauce on a pretzel roll.

If you like brats and corn dogs, you might want to try the new “Corn Brat,” offering the best of both worlds. It’s a Johnsonville Original Ultimate bratwurst dipped in housemade cornbread batter and deep-fried to golden perfection. The Corn Brat will also be available at the Field, Loge, Terrace and Club levels.

For those looking to mix salty with sweet, there are also two new types of pretzels being offered — a salted caramel toffee pretzel and a s’mores pretzel.

Two other items are only being offered at select parts of the stadium. The “Full Count Cristo” — a grilled cheese sandwich combining muenster cheese, pit ham and concord grape jelly between two thick-sliced pieces of french toast — will be served at the Sargento Grilled Cheese stand in Section 129 and the Chef’s Table Club Level.

An Italian Beef Sandwich will also be offered on the Loge Level of the stadium by Section 227. It includes a thin-sliced slow-roasted top round on an Italian roll with mozzarella cheese, sweet bell peppers and giardiniera.
