Boy aims to raise $15K for LCC Comfort Dogs

An area student is being rewarded for his fundraising efforts.

Kamryn Wells is a fifth-grader at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Cross Plains. He and his mom started following LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs on Facebook, and after seeing dogs comfort Las Vegas shooting victims, he decided he wanted to help.

He’s working to raise $15,000 for the organization. The nonprofit trains dogs to interact with people at nursing homes, hospitals and in disaster situations.

The organization said thank you Friday by surprising Kamryn with a visit from his favorite dogs.
