Borland Defensive Player of the Year

Notre Dame, Wisconsin to meet at Lambeau, Soldier fields

Chris Borland is the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Borland is the fifth Badger to receive the award, following Troy Vincent, Tom Burke, Jamar Fletcher, and Erasmus James.

Borland, a senior, leads the Badgers with 102 tackles–forty more than UW’s second leading tackler. He is just the fifth player in UW history to record three years with 100 tackles or more. He is tied for the Big Ten Record with 14 career forced fumbles, and a Badgers record with nine recoveries.

Perhaps even more impressive than his statistics? Borland leads all UW student-athletes in community service hours.
