Bonita J. “Bonnie” Hottmann, age 79, of Dodgeville, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Green Bay, WI on April 15, 1935 to Louis and Margaret (Smith) DeBauche. Bonnie was a 1953 graduate of Green Bay East High School and went to work right after high school as a bookkeeper at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation in Green Bay. During her 11 years there, she met Monte Hottmann, an accountant, and they were married on December 27, 1964. Bonnie was a loving mother of her three sons, and raised them to be good people like her. She enjoyed so much being a part of their many activities, and maintaining a positive home environment for them. That same joy has since been with her, as she shares in the activities and experiences of eight grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Monte; her sons, Brian (Denise); Brad (Missy); and Barry (Nicole); grandchildren, Brett and Megan of Brian’s family; Nathan and Carter of Brad’s family and Dillon, Sawyer, Ava and Connor of Barry’s family, all of Dodgeville; her loving sister, Delores Mueller of Green Bay and Delores’s daughters, Cheryl (Tim) Kinnard and Vicki Mueller; Cheryl & Tim’s daughters, Leah and Alicia; brothers-in-law, Bob (Marge) Hottmann and Dale (Judy) Hottmann; a sister-in-law, Mary Ruth (Denny) Reger as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Louis DeBauche; Monte’s parents, Kenneth and Eleanor (Monteith) Hottmann and her brother-in-law, Lyle Mueller.

Bonnie received excellent care from all who worked with her in her many stays at Upland Hills Health Hospital in Dodgeville, and during her short stay at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Dodgeville and the family thank them very much. Bonnie’s wish was in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Upland Hills Health Foundation at 800 Compassion Way, P.O. Box 800, Dodgeville, WI 53533.

A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dodgeville. Rev. Kenneth L. Schaub and Pastor Howard Lindsay, a close family friend, will co-officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M and again on Saturday after 9:30 A.M.
