Bond set for suspects in Fitchburg homicide

Two of 3 suspects appear in court Monday

Two of the three suspects charged in connection with a Fitchburg homicide case were in Dane County Circuit Court on Monday.

Roberto Poindexter and Daniel Owens are both facing charges in the killing of Samuel Harris.

Harris’ body was found inside an apartment building on Leopold Way in late June. Police said he was killed in a drug deal that turned violent.

Poindexter is charged with felony murder and armed robbery. His bond was set at $400,000.

Owens is facing charges of homicide, armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon. A judge set his bond at $750,000.

A third suspect, Bobby Hogans, was in court last week.
