Blue-green algae keeps Madison beaches closed
MADISON, Wis. — A blue-green algae bloom in lakes Monona and Mendota have kept several beaches closed over the weekend.
If a water test shows concerning results of blue-green algae, Public Health of Madison and Dane County will close the beach until levels return to normal.

Esther on Lake Monona
Olbrich on Lake Monona
The James Madison and Tenney beaches and Memorial Union pier were reopened Monday morning.
